Maceo, KY (January 31, 2025) – A fatal crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle occurred on Highway 60 at Hawes Blvd in Maceo, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
According to the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The Daviess County Fire Department and EMS responded to the crash, along with an accident reconstruction unit, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Following the accident, eastbound traffic on Highway 60 was slowed as first responders worked the scene. A detour was set up at Wrights Landing on Highway 2830 to redirect traffic while authorities conducted their investigation. The roadway has since been fully reopened.
Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims or any details regarding the cause of the accident.
