Lyra Township, MN (October 2, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident occurred on October 1, 2024, at the intersection of 132nd Street and 550th Avenue in Blue Earth County. According to reports, a county dump truck traveling eastbound on 132nd Street collided with a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero that was heading northbound on 550th Avenue.

The driver of the Oldsmobile Alero, Austin Michael Masso, a 27-year-old male from Good Thunder, MN, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health in Mankato for medical care. He was also wearing his seatbelt, and the airbag in the vehicle deployed during the collision. Alcohol was not involved in this incident.
Additionally, a passenger in the Oldsmobile, Chelesia Lynn Armendariz, a 26-year-old female from Bigelow, MN, was also injured in the crash.
