Bicycle Accidents in Texas
Bicycle accidents can result in severe injuries due to the lack of protection riders have compared to motor vehicle occupants. Texas cities like Lubbock see frequent bicycle-related collisions, especially at busy intersections where cyclists must share the road with larger vehicles.
Common causes of bicycle accidents include driver inattention, failure to yield, and limited visibility. Even when bicyclists follow traffic laws, they remain at risk of serious injury when involved in a crash with a motor vehicle.
For injured cyclists, seeking immediate medical attention is crucial. Some injuries, such as head trauma or internal damage, may not be immediately apparent but can have long-term consequences. Additionally, understanding legal options can help accident victims recover compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages.
