Loxahatchee, FL – Fatal Off-Road Bike Collision on 60th St N Claims Teen’s Life

Loxahatchee, FL (September 2, 2024) – A crash on Saturday, September 2, in Loxahatchee resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy riding an off-road bike. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on 60th St N, west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd. The boy, riding a Yamaha off-road bike, attempted to overtake a car by using the westbound lane and collided with an oncoming Infiniti.

The impact threw the boy onto the Infiniti’s windshield before he landed on the grass. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported him to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. The Infiniti driver was unharmed. 

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
