Louisville, KY (March 10, 2025) – Two people were injured after a house fire broke out in the Shawnee neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.
According to Louisville Fire Department (LFD), crews responded to the 4300 block of River Park Drive around 3:11 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the first floor of the home. A total of 32 firefighters worked diligently to bring the fire under control, successfully extinguishing the flames within 17 minutes.
LFD reported that two individuals managed to exit the home on their own but sustained injuries in the process. They were treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation. Authorities have not disclosed the severity of their injuries at this time. No other injuries were reported.
