Louisville, KY (December 18, 2024) – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries Tuesday evening following a collision with a Jeep on Dixie Highway at Dixie Garden Drive. Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to the scene around 6 PM.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the Jeep was traveling south on Dixie Highway when the driver attempted to make a left turn into Kroger, crossing into the motorcycle’s path. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike upon impact. Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to UofL Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Police confirmed that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
