Louisville, KY (October 27, 2024) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a tragic collision that occurred on Friday afternoon in Adair County. At approximately 2:30 p.m., KSP responded to a two-vehicle injury accident on KY 55.
Preliminary investigations indicate that 74-year-old Linda Young, along with her passenger, 45-year-old Chris Young, were traveling southbound on KY 55 when Linda crossed the center line, entering the northbound lane. Officials report that her vehicle collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by 55-year-old Dana Arnold.
Sadly, both Linda and Chris Young were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Adair County Coroner. Dana Arnold was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and is currently receiving medical care.
