Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in California
Hit-and-run accidents are a growing problem in California, often leaving victims with severe injuries and limited immediate help. Pedestrians are particularly vulnerable in these incidents, as they lack protection against the impact of a vehicle.
Common causes of pedestrian crashes include speeding, driver distraction, and failure to yield. When a driver flees the scene, victims may face difficulties in seeking compensation for medical expenses, rehabilitation, and lost wages. However, options such as uninsured motorist coverage may still provide financial relief.
Law enforcement agencies work to identify and hold hit-and-run drivers accountable, but victims should also seek legal guidance to understand their rights.
