The crash initially involved a gray Lexus IS350 in the HOV lane, along with an unknown vehicle. Additional reports indicated that a gray sedan and a white Toyota Prius were also involved, with the gray sedan reportedly striking another vehicle. Neither the gray sedan nor the white Prius remained on the scene, prompting a report of a possible hit-and-run (20002).
A black Nissan Altima was also seen on the right shoulder of the roadway following the collision. Emergency responders, including California Highway Patrol (CHP), arrived on the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance. Tow services were dispatched to clear the damaged vehicles, and traffic flow was partially restored as of 12:20 PM.
