Lorain, OH (December 26, 2024) – A 67-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident on Christmas Day. The crash occurred around 5:50 PM on Tower Blvd near Tysons Rd, according to a press release from the Lorain Police Department.
Authorities report that the woman was walking north across the road near the median when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Evidence recovered at the scene, including vehicle parts, suggests that the vehicle involved may be a silver or gray Ford pickup truck.
The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. Police confirm that she is in stable condition but suffered significant injuries to one leg.
