Longview, WA (February 24, 2025) – A 21-year-old Puyallup man was injured Sunday morning after crashing his Audi on southbound Interstate 5 near Longview, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident occurred around 11:10 a.m. when the Audi driver, traveling in the center lane at a speed “too fast for conditions,” struck the rear of another vehicle. The impact caused the second driver, a 50-year-old man from Eatonville, to lose control and crash into the freeway median. Meanwhile, the Audi veered off the roadway and came to rest 30 feet down an embankment.
Emergency responders transported the Audi driver to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview for treatment. The other driver and his two passengers, ages 22 and 46, were not injured in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
