Logan County, KY – One Killed in High-Speed Head-On Crash on Franklin Rd Near W Valley Rd

Logan County, KY (September 19, 2024) – A high-speed crash on Franklin Rd Tuesday evening, September 17 claimed the life of Hector Garavito. The accident occurred near W Valley Rd around 6:40 p.m. when Garavito’s silver Hyundai, traveling eastbound, attempted to pass a Honda driven by Tiffany Stovall. 

The Hyundai collided head-on with a work truck driven by Marvin Bass. Garavito was pronounced dead at the scene, while no other injuries were reported. Authorities believe speed and alcohol contributed to the crash. 

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the accident.
