Little Rock, AR (November 11, 2024) – A tragic accident on Interstate 530 southbound near Exit 3 (Dixon Road) claimed the lives of two individuals late Friday morning. The crash occurred at approximately 11:28 a.m., according to reports from Arkansas State Police.
Authorities state that a 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by 62-year-old Bryan Atkinson of Sheridan, AR, veered off the roadway and struck a tree on the west roadside. The impact caused the vehicle to become engulfed in flames. Both Bryan Atkinson and his passenger, 74-year-old Patricia Atkinson, also of Sheridan, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved, and weather conditions at the time were reported as cloudy with dry roadways. The bodies were transported to the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation.
