Little River, SC (March 5, 2025) – A residential fire on the 3000 block of Edgewood Rd in Little River left one person injured and caused significant property damage on Wednesday afternoon.
Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to the scene at approximately 4:19 p.m. after reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully engulfed in flames. Despite their efforts, the residence was destroyed.
Firefighters are currently working to contain a subsequent outside fire caused by the initial blaze. One person sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Multiple agencies, including the Horry County Police Department, North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue, and Calabash Fire Department, provided assistance. The American Red Cross of South Carolina will offer support to any displaced residents.
