Little Ferry, NJ (October 30, 2024) – A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred on Route 46 on Tuesday, October 29, resulting in eight individuals being hospitalized, including one with a severe head injury. The incident took place shortly before 5 p.m. when one vehicle was attempting to turn left from eastbound Route 46 onto Liberty Street.

According to Little Ferry Police Chief James Walters, the turning vehicle was struck by another vehicle, causing it to spin around and collide with two additional vehicles that were stopped at a traffic light on Liberty Street. Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly to assist those injured in the crash.

Four patients were transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, while another four were taken to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck for medical evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, reports of an ejection from any of the vehicles were unfounded, as confirmed by the police chief.
