Linn County, IA (October 5, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident occurred Thursday afternoon, October 3, at the Highway 30 and Knapp Road intersection, resulting in injuries to three individuals. Emergency responders were called to the scene just before 4:50 p.m. to assist those involved in the crash.
According to a press release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when 38-year-old Stacy Ross from Lisbon was traveling westbound on Highway 30. At the same time, 89-year-old Rosemary Erenberger from Solon attempted to pull onto Highway 30 from Knapp Road, leading to the collision.
Both vehicles ended up in the median of the four-lane highway as a result of the impact. Emergency medical services transported both drivers, along with a passenger in Erenberger’s vehicle, to a local hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Following the accident, Erenberger was issued a ticket for failing to yield, which highlights the importance of obeying traffic laws at intersections.
