Lincoln, NE – Two Injured in Fiery SUV Crash at 84th St & Rokeby Rd

Lincoln, NE (September 12, 2024) – Two people sustained minor injuries following a crash on Wednesday afternoon, September 11, in southeast Lincoln. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when an SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection of 84th St and Rokeby Rd.

The SUV struck another vehicle, causing both vehicles to catch fire. Firefighters promptly arrived and extinguished the flames, leaving water on the road. Drone footage captured the aftermath of the scene after the fire was controlled.

Both injured individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver who ran the stop sign has been ticketed, and the investigation is ongoing.
