Lincoln, NE (October 18, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred Friday morning, October 18 near Irving Middle School, resulting in injuries to a student. At approximately 8:50 a.m., police responded to the scene of the crash involving a 14-year-old near the intersection of 22nd and Lake Streets.
According to law enforcement, the incident involved a teen riding a scooter who failed to stop at a stop sign and was subsequently struck by an eastbound vehicle. The young rider was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, as reported by the Lincoln Police Department (LPD).
