Lincoln, MO (December 1, 2024) – A crash occurred at approximately 1:45 PM on Highway 61, north of Route U. According to local authorities, the incident involved two vehicles and resulted in one person being injured. Emergency responders from Lincoln County assessed and treated the driver of the 2009 Nissan Maxima, who sustained moderate injuries. The individual was transported by Lincoln County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for further care. The crash occurred when the driver of the Nissan, who was reportedly fleeing from law enforcement, lost control and collided with the rear of a 2016 Jeep Renegade. Both vehicles then traveled off the road and struck a tree line.
The drivers involved in the accident are identified as a 42-year-old male from Wentzville, MO, and a 49-year-old male from Mountain View, AR. Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash and were towed by Priority One Towing. While the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt, the driver of the Jeep was properly restrained.
