Lima, OH (December 18, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Spring St and South Union St on Monday morning resulted in two individuals being transported to the hospital. The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. and involved a pickup truck and a Jeep.
According to the Lima Police Department, Donovan Fisher, 37, of Delphos, was driving a pickup truck westbound on East Spring St when he failed to stop at the stop sign at South Union St. As a result, his vehicle was struck by a Jeep driven by Darryl Johnson, 41, of Lima. Fisher was cited for a stop sign violation.
Johnson and his passenger, Shantelle Hicks, 37, also of Lima, sustained suspected minor injuries and were transported by Lima EMS to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. Fisher was not reported to have been injured in the collision.
Traffic was briefly affected while emergency responders assisted at the scene and cleared the vehicles from the intersection. The crash remains under review by authorities.
