Lehigh Acres, FL (January 14, 2025) – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred Monday evening along Leeland Heights Blvd E (CR-884) near North Ave, claiming the life of a 45-year-old man from Lehigh Acres. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continues to investigate the incident.
The crash took place around 6:52 p.m. According to FHP, the man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Leeland Heights Blvd E in the inside lane. At the same time, a 31-year-old woman from Lehigh Acres was driving an SUV and turning onto CR-884 from North Ave.
The SUV entered the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision. The motorcycle struck the front of the SUV, causing the rider to suffer critical injuries. Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
Authorities have confirmed that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Updates are expected as the investigation proceeds.
