Lebanon, ME (January 18, 2025) – A tragic structure fire on Smith Rd in Lebanon claimed the life of an adult male and left another occupant injured on Friday afternoon. The Lebanon Fire Department responded to the blaze, which broke out around noon, and subsequently requested assistance from the Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the incident.
The fire consumed a large single-family home, destroying the structure. One occupant managed to escape the fire and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Sadly, Fire Investigators discovered the remains of a deceased adult male among the fire’s ruins. The victim was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy and identification.
