Intersections like OK-7 and OK-65 can be particularly dangerous, especially when larger vehicles such as commercial trucks are involved. Factors such as failure to yield, speeding, distracted driving, and adverse road conditions can contribute to severe collisions at high-speed intersections.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, fatal crashes often involve large trucks due to their weight and stopping distance. Drivers of passenger vehicles are at a higher risk of serious injury or death when involved in accidents with commercial trucks.
