Las Vegas, NV (February 24, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized following a suspected DUI crash involving a paratransit bus in the west Las Vegas valley on Sunday night.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Rainbow Blvd and Westcliff Dr. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), an apparent impaired driver struck another vehicle, pushing it into a paratransit bus. The impaired driver then lost control and collided with a power box.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided care to the injured. Two individuals, including the impaired driver and another occupant from one of the vehicles, were transported to a local hospital. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Authorities closed Rainbow Blvd in both directions at Westcliff Dr to conduct an investigation and clear the roadway. Further details regarding potential charges against the suspected DUI driver have not been released.
