Las Lomas, CA (January 17, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident occurred early Thursday morning at the intersection of Hall Rd and Las Lomas Dr, resulting in a fatality. According to reports, the incident unfolded at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a pedestrian was struck and dragged by a vehicle.
Witnesses reported hearing the initial impact and saw the individual struck again by another vehicle, which dragged the victim before coming to a stop. A bystander attempted to alert oncoming traffic and render aid, but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. Emergency responders, including fire crews and law enforcement, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. The Monterey County Coroner’s Office was contacted to assist with the investigation.
Fire crews performed a washdown at the site after the coroner’s clearance. The intersection was closed temporarily during the response and investigation but has since reopened.
