Lake Worth, FL (September 3, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, September 3, when a 17-year-old boy died after jumping from the Hypoluxo Rd overpass onto Florida’s Turnpike. The teenager was struck by a box truck driven by a 29-year-old man near Mile Marker 91.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced the teen dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The crash led to the closure of all southbound lanes of the Turnpike for several hours.
