Lake Isabella, CA (February 19, 2025) – A fiery two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a Subaru Impreza occurred Tuesday afternoon on Highway 178 near Old Isabella Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. when the red Subaru Impreza caught fire following the collision. Reports indicate that an occupant was still inside the burning vehicle, and a bystander attempted to assist them.
Emergency responders, including firefighters and police, arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire and provide medical assistance. At least one individual was transported to Kern Valley Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
