Lake Havasu City, AZ (January 3, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision on State Route 95 near Dub Campbell Parkway claimed the lives of two individuals and left another injured Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m., according to Lake Havasu City Police Sgt. Kyle Ridgway.
Reports indicate that a black Dodge truck traveling south veered off the roadway before crossing into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a semi-truck. The driver and passenger of the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
A third vehicle swerved off the road to avoid hitting the semi-truck but did not sustain significant damage, and no injuries were reported from that vehicle.
State Route 95 was closed at South McCulloch Blvd for several hours while investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash and contributing factors. The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
