Lake Elsinore, CA (September 2, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision early Monday morning on the southbound I-15 at Hwy 74 resulted in one fatality and another person sustaining serious injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the crash at 3:16 a.m. A tow truck driver stated that a white Chevrolet Cruze rear-ended the truck, causing the sedan to break apart.

One individual was declared dead at the scene, while another was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
