Lago Vista, TX (January 28, 2025) – Two individuals sustained injuries following a head-on collision on FM 1431 near Lago Vista on Monday morning. The crash occurred at approximately 7:24 AM in the 25100 block of FM 1431, between Tessera Parkway and Singleton Bend Rd, according to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.
Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles after the collision, prompting a multi-agency emergency response. Austin-Travis County EMS, Travis County Emergency Services District 1, and STAR Flight assisted at the scene. One individual, suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries, was transported to Round Rock Medical Center via ambulance. The other driver, who sustained critical injuries, was airlifted by STAR Flight to Dell Seton Medical Center for urgent care.
By mid-morning, traffic was being alternated through a single westbound lane as authorities continued their investigation and worked to clear the scene. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office’s Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) team has taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
