Lafayette, LA (January 15, 2025) – The Lafayette Police Department has identified Nicholas Barron, a 30-year-old resident of Lafayette, as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday evening on East Willow St. The collision took place in the 1300 block of the roadway and involved a motorcycle and an SUV.
According to police, the SUV was traveling eastbound on East Willow St when it attempted a left turn onto Dogwood Dr, colliding with Barron’s westbound motorcycle. Tragically, Barron sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not suspected of impairment.
