Lafayette, LA (October 22, 2024) – A tragic traffic accident occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Bertrand Drive and West Congress Street, resulting in the death of a local woman. The Lafayette Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 3:50 a.m. on October 20, 2024, after receiving reports of a collision.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that one of the motorists, identified as 33-year-old Molly Deshotels of Lafayette, had succumbed to her injuries as a result of the crash.
