Kingstree, SC (September 6, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a 2011 Ford SUV Thursday night on Broad Swamp Rd, just north of Kingstree. The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. as both the vehicle and pedestrian were traveling north on the roadway.

The driver of the SUV was not injured, but the pedestrian tragically died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal incident.
