Killeen, TX – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run on E Stagecoach Rd

Killeen, TX (September 19, 2024) – A pedestrian was critically injured, and their dog killed in a hit-and-run on East Stagecoach Rd early Wednesday morning, September 18. Killeen police responded to the crash around 1:29 a.m., where they determined a dark-colored vehicle veered onto the sidewalk, striking the pedestrian and dog before fleeing the scene.

The pedestrian was rushed to Baylor Scott & White in Temple, where they remain in critical but stable condition, pending surgery. The dog did not survive the incident. Police believe the vehicle involved may be a smaller, dark-colored car, possibly a Honda, with front-end damage.

Authorities are investigating the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
