Keystone Heights, FL (September 9, 2024) – A 38-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Saturday, September 7. The incident took place at the intersection of State Road 100 and Southeast Lakeview Drive near Lake Geneva.

According to officials, the woman was walking in the westbound lane of SR 100 when an unidentified vehicle struck her. The vehicle did not stop and fled westward. The injured pedestrian was transported to UF Shands in Gainesville for treatment.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information about the driver to contact the Florida Highway Patrol. Further updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
