Truck Accidents in South Carolina
Large truck accidents are among the most serious collisions on South Carolina roads. High speeds, size disparities between vehicles, and maneuvering challenges make crashes involving semi-trucks particularly dangerous. U-turn accidents, such as the one in this incident, can be especially hazardous when commercial vehicles are involved due to their extended stopping distances and limited visibility.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, hundreds of fatal crashes occur on state highways each year, with a significant percentage involving large commercial trucks. Factors such as driver fatigue, misjudged maneuvers, and visibility limitations contribute to the severity of these collisions.
For those involved in a crash with a commercial truck, seeking medical attention immediately is critical. Additionally, gathering evidence, obtaining witness statements, and consulting legal professionals can help ensure that victims and their families understand their options moving forward.
