Kennewick, WA (November 12, 2024) – A two-car collision at the intersection of US 395 and West Kennewick Avenue sent one vehicle crashing into a Denny’s restaurant on Monday afternoon, temporarily blocking traffic in the area. The crash, reported at approximately 2:20 p.m., left one car in the roadway while the other struck the side of the diner.
According to Eric Fanciullo, Denny’s Operations Manager, the incident occurred when a vehicle failed to yield while turning left onto southbound US 395. It collided with a truck, propelling it into the restaurant. Three individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries following the crash.
Kennewick firefighters cleared the scene, and traffic on southbound US 395 resumed after temporary standstills. Washington State Patrol Trooper Cory Litchfield confirmed that the crash remains under investigation.
Denny’s staff reported no significant structural damage to the building, though the restaurant will reopen Tuesday with limited seating.
We hope for the full recovery of all the wounded victims.
