Kansas City, MO (September 17, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on Monday, September 16, left one person injured on I-35 at Armour Rd. The crash occurred at 9:54 p.m. when a Mercury Sable, driven by Abigail Cooper, 20, veered off the road and hit a median barrier, stopping in the roadway. A Toyota RAV 4, driven by Michael Podgornik, 70, then struck the rear of the Sable.

Podgornik sustained moderate injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital by KC Fire. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
