High-Speed Crashes in Missouri
High-speed accidents remain a significant concern on Missouri highways, especially near entrance ramps and shoulder areas where stationary vehicles are at risk. Excessive speed reduces reaction time and increases the severity of crashes, often leading to devastating injuries or fatalities.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, speeding contributes to a large percentage of roadway accidents across the state. Drivers are urged to reduce speeds when approaching ramps and to remain vigilant for parked or disabled vehicles on the roadside. Missouri’s Move Over Law also requires drivers to slow down and change lanes when approaching emergency or service vehicles stopped on the side of the road.
For those affected by serious car accidents, seeking immediate medical attention and understanding legal rights are essential steps in recovery.
