Kansas City, KS – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Rear-End Crash on I-70 Near 18th St

Kansas City, KS (September 13, 2024) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a rear-end collision on I-70 near 18th St on Wednesday evening. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. when 44-year-old Anthony Sode, riding a 2010 BMW motorcycle, swerved and struck the back of a vehicle that fled the scene.

Sode’s motorcycle flipped over, causing him to be thrown off. He was transported to The University of Kansas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the driver who fled.
