Joliet, IL (December 16, 2024) – Police in Joliet are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old man on Saturday night. The incident occurred near the intersection of 4th Ave and South Chicago St at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim lying critically injured on the sidewalk. The Joliet Fire Department responded promptly and transported the man to Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
