Johnson County, MO (November 3, 2024) – A serious motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday evening at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of US 50 Highway and Route D. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
According to the crash report investigated by TPR B.S. Lautenschlager, the incident involved a 2025 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2016 Ford Escape. The motorcycle, driven by a 56-year-old male from Warrensburg, was traveling eastbound when it collided with the Ford Escape, which was also heading eastbound. The impact resulted in the motorcycle being deemed a total loss, while the Ford Escape sustained moderate damage.
The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries and was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. Emergency medical services transported him to Research Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the Ford Escape, a 77-year-old male from Sedalia, was wearing a safety device and did not sustain serious injuries.
