Rural Roadway Dangers in Texas
Texas has a high rate of accidents on rural roads, with areas like Johnson County seeing an increased risk due to a combination of higher speed limits, limited lighting, and sharp turns on county and farm-to-market roads. FM 2738 and CR 513, like many rural intersections, may have limited visibility or stop-controlled junctions that can contribute to collisions.
One of the major factors in rural crashes is overturned vehicles, which often result from losing control at high speeds, hitting soft shoulders, or striking obstacles such as ditches or trees. When accidents occur in remote areas, the response time for emergency crews can also be longer, increasing the risk of severe injuries or fatalities.
For those driving in rural parts of Texas, staying alert, reducing speed, and using extra caution at intersections and curves can help prevent crashes. Additionally, wearing seat belts and avoiding distractions play a crucial role in improving survival rates in rollover accidents.
If you or a loved one has been affected by a serious crash, seeking legal and medical guidance can be essential in navigating the recovery process.
