According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the pedestrian, a 71-year-old male from Holden, MO, stepped into the path of the eastbound Ford Bronco. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, resulting in significant injuries.
Emergency responders transported the injured pedestrian to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Reports indicate that the driver of the Ford Bronco, who was using a safety device at the time of the crash, was uninjured and able to drive the vehicle from the scene.
