Jefferson Twp, MI (January 23, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday morning at the intersection of Pine Lake St and Daily Rd, resulting in one person being transported to the hospital and a driver cited for failing to yield.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene around 10:58 AM. Investigators determined that 23-year-old Isaac McLean, of Elkhart, failed to yield while turning from Pine Lake St onto Daily Rd. As a result, his vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Dowagiac resident.
A 22-year-old passenger in McLean’s vehicle sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Beacon Granger Hospital for treatment. The Dowagiac driver was not reported to have been injured.
Authorities cited McLean for failure to yield, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
