Jefferson County, MO (March 6, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of eastbound MO-30 and Little Brennan Rd resulted in injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:29 p.m. and was investigated by Trooper M.T. McCoy. According to authorities, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 58-year-old man from High Ridge, was traveling eastbound on MO-30 when it failed to stop for a snow-covered red traffic signal. The Silverado collided with a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, which was turning left from westbound MO-30 onto Little Brennan Rd. The impact then caused the Silverado to crash into a 1994 Chevrolet GMT400, which had been stopped on Little Brennan Rd. The GMT400 subsequently struck the concrete base of a traffic signal.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured. The Silverado’s driver sustained serious injuries and was transported by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. The 30-year-old driver of the GMT400 and a 32-year-old passenger in the Grand Caravan both suffered minor injuries. The driver of the GMT400 was taken to Mercy Hospital South, while the Grand Caravan’s occupant was taken to Total Access Urgent Care by private transport.
All individuals involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts at the time of impact. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Our thoughts are with those injured, and we wish them a full recovery.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Missouri
Multi-vehicle accidents, like the crash on MO-30 and Little Brennan Rd, often occur at busy intersections and can result in serious injuries. Factors such as poor visibility, adverse weather conditions, and driver misjudgments contribute to these types of collisions. In this case, a snow-covered traffic signal prevented the driver from stopping in time, leading to a chain reaction of impacts.
Missouri follows an at-fault insurance system, meaning that victims of a crash may seek compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages from the responsible driver’s insurance provider. However, proving liability in multi-vehicle collisions can be complex and may require a thorough investigation.
Drivers can reduce their risk of accidents by exercising extra caution in poor weather conditions, slowing down at intersections, and ensuring traffic signals are visible before proceeding. If you or a loved one has been injured in a crash caused by another driver’s negligence, seeking legal guidance can help you navigate the recovery process and protect your rights.
