Jefferson County, MO (November 30, 2024) – A serious pedestrian accident occurred late Friday night on westbound MO 30, just east of La Kenny Lane. The crash, reported at 11:20 PM, involved a 2018 Honda Civic and a pedestrian who sustained significant injuries.
According to authorities, the Honda Civic, driven by a 19-year-old woman from High Ridge, MO, was traveling westbound in the first lane of MO 30 when a pedestrian suddenly crossed into the roadway ahead. Despite the driver’s efforts to brake and swerve, the vehicle’s front left side struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as a 41-year-old man from Fletcher, MO, suffered serious injuries. Emergency responders from the North Jefferson County Ambulance District transported him to Mercy Hospital South for treatment. The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured and was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed to a local repair shop.
Troopers H. L. Rivera and A. P. Billiot assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine contributing factors.
