Jefferson County, MO (November 23, 2024) – An injury accident involving a motorcycle and a Freightliner occurred on northbound Highway 67 near Meyer Rd in Jefferson County at approximately 4:17 p.m. The collision resulted in moderate injuries and significant vehicle damage.
A 2012 Harley Davidson Switchback, driven by a 22-year-old male from Arnold, MO, was exiting a private driveway and attempting to turn left onto northbound Highway 67. A 2023 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by a 39-year-old male from Florissant, MO, was traveling in the left lane of northbound Highway 67. The collision occurred when the Harley Davidson entered the path of the Freightliner. Despite attempts to avoid the crash, the Freightliner struck the motorcycle’s rear, causing the motorcycle to veer off the right side of the roadway.
The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson via Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District. The Freightliner driver was not injured and was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed by a personal conveyance.
