Jasper County, MO (December 07, 2024) – A serious crash occurred early this morning at 1:45 AM on County Road Lone Elm, approximately 1.5 miles south of Carl Junction. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2006 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 19-year-old male from Webb City, MO, was traveling southbound when it veered off the road, striking a 2013 Honda Civic traveling eastbound. The impact caused the Honda Civic to overturn.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a 19-year-old female from Farlington, Kansas, sustained serious injuries. She was transported by EMS to Freeman West Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota Tundra was not injured, but his vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Comers Towing.
The Honda Civic was totaled and also towed by Comers Towing. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but it is believed that the Toyota Tundra left the road, striking the Honda Civic, which led to the collision and subsequent rollover.
