Jacksonville, FL (October 5, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Beach Boulevard late Thursday night, October 3 resulting in the deaths of two motorcyclists and injuries to several others. The incident took place around 7:25 p.m. at the intersection with Washburn Road, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
According to the FHP crash report, a Nissan Frontier was traveling eastbound on Beach Boulevard when it initiated a left turn directly into the path of two motorcycles—a black Honda CBR and a black Suzuki. The collision was severe, leading both motorcycles to crash into the pickup truck.
The two motorcyclists, both 25-year-old men, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, a 44-year-old man from Jacksonville Beach, sustained serious injuries, while a 29-year-old passenger in the Nissan suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash.
Emergency responders from the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department quickly arrived at the scene to assist those involved. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that all westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard were closed from San Pablo Road to Hodges Boulevard while authorities worked to clear the area and investigate the incident.
